Alex Bowman has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical science and laboratory management. Starting in 2003, they worked as a trainee at Addenbrooke's NHS Trust and then as a contract worker at various histopathology laboratories across the UK, Ireland, and Bermuda. This experience included working in small and large departments, general pathology, and in specialized areas such as pediatrics, obstetrics, and neuropathology. From 2010 to 2014, Bowman worked as a Biomedical Scientist at Unilabs. In 2015, they became the Histopathology Core Facility Laboratory Manager at the Respiratory Biomedical Research Unit, Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, a role they held until 2019. From 2019 to 2021, Bowman worked as a Laboratory Manager at CooperGenomics. Currently, they hold the position of Laboratory Manager at Cyted, starting in April 2021.
Alex Bowman earned a Master's Degree in Cellular Pathology from the University of Westminster, where they studied from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences at Nottingham Trent University from 2000 to 2003.
