Martin Wales

Martin Wales is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Equity Research at M&G Investments since August 2014, overseeing both Senior Analyst and Pharmaceuticals/Healthcare Analyst roles. Wales holds a position as a Board Observer at Osler Diagnostics since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles as European Healthcare Analyst and Managing Director at UBS from December 2000 to July 2014, Healthcare Analyst at HSBC from 1998 to 2000, and Biotechnology Analyst at Greig Middleton from 1997 to 1998. Earlier in their career, Wales was a Senior Research Scientist at Celltech (now part of UCB) from 1992 to 1997. Academically, Wales earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol.
