Irwan Owen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Irwan is currently working at D-Wave as the VP of Growth, where they lead the company's expansion efforts. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director and Lead for EMEA at D-Wave. Before joining D-Wave, Irwan worked as the Director of Regional Sales for EMEA at the same company. Earlier in their career, Irwan had a successful freelance career, focusing on sales, business development, and partnering for international business growth and technology due-diligence. Irwan also co-founded Tellybug, a company that developed an interactive platform for TV broadcasters and producers. Additionally, Irwan has held executive positions at Redbend, Palm, Inc., NetMotion Software, Symbian PLC, Sun Microsystems, and AT&T Labs, Inc. Their roles in these companies involved sales leadership, business development, and strategic management.

Irwan Owen has a BSc(Hons) degree in Computation from The University of Manchester. In addition to their degree, they hold a Private Pilot License, Helicopter & Rotary-wing (PPL(H)), obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration in September 1996. Irwan has also obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance in January 2020.
