Vice President Marketing at D1 TRAINING

Matthew Toy has extensive work experience in various roles related to marketing, communications, and public relations. Matthew is currently the Vice President of Marketing at D1 Training since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Trust and Safety at Yik Yak, Inc. from April 2021 to April 2023. Matthew also held the position of Vice President, University Relations at Uloop from September 2020 to November 2021. Before that, they worked at Trevecca Nazarene University in roles such as Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Adjunct Professor - Marketing, and Director of Marketing and Communications from November 2012 to August 2020. Matthew has also served as the Vice President of Communications & Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Public Relations Director at D1 Sports Training and Therapy from January 2012 to November 2012 and from October 2007 to January 2012, respectively. Matthew has experience in teaching as well, having worked as an Adjunct Professor in Sports Marketing at Belmont University from May 2007 to December 2011. Matthew has also held positions in public relations at Alday Public Relations and Third Coast Sports. Matthew'searly experience includes internships in PR/Community Relations at the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Kats (AFL).

Matthew Toy earned a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) from Miami University, attending from 1998 to 2002. Matthew later pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree at Belmont University, attending from 2005 to 2006. In addition, they obtained a MiniMBA certification from the Farmer School of Business at Miami University in January 2021.

All D1 Training locations offer four age-based programs including Rookie (ages 7-11), Developmental (ages 12-14), Prep (ages 15-18), and Adult (ages 18+).
