Yoana Tchompalova

Yoana Tchompalova is a professional with diverse experience in environmental and political fields. Currently serving as a Junior Drafter at DAI since April 2023, Yoana previously held the position of Senior Research Analyst at Save Strandzha from September 2021 to January 2025 and was a Junior Consultant at Ecorys SEE from October 2021 to January 2023. Expertise includes managing and contributing to projects on soil health, marine pollution, and sustainable development. Previous internships at the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria and the European Parliament involved administrative support, document editing, and communications tasks. Yoana holds a Master's degree in Ecological Expertise and Control from New Bulgarian University and has an additional Master's in Political Science focused on Global Environmental Governance from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, along with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Bath.
