David Burger

David Burger possesses extensive experience in the dairy industry and environmental management, currently serving as General Manager of Farm Solutions & Policy and General Manager of Sustainable Dairy at DairyNZ since April 2013. Additionally, David holds roles as Strategy and Investment Leader for Responsible Dairying and Environment Manager within the same organization. Appointed as a Board Member for the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards in December 2024, David's prior experience includes positions as Research Scientist/Adviser at Deltares in Singapore and the Netherlands, as well as an Associate at the Singapore Delft Water Alliance. David's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aquatic Biology/Limnology and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) with First Class Honours in Freshwater Ecology, both from The University of Waikato.
