Katja Juul Nielsen is an experienced marketing professional currently serving as Marketingchef for both Daka Denmark A/S and Daka ReFood, focusing on the collection and recycling of food waste and used cooking oil to benefit the environment. Additionally, Katja holds the position of Director at REFOOD mærket, which aims to combat food waste and promote recycling within the food and service sectors through a trust-based certification. Daka Denmark A/S which operates in the international rendering industry, processing animal by-products for the pet food, animal feed and fertilizer industry. Daka also produces animal nutrition applications. Further, Daka produces high-quality, second-generation biodiesel made of animal waste. Daka employs some 280 people in Denmark and Sweden and administers four business areas: Daka SARVAL, Daka ReFood, Daka SecAnim and Daka ecoMotion. Daka serves a large number of suppliers: slaughterhouses, country butchers, retail customers, mink farmers and farmers incl. hobby farmers, veterinary hospitals and stud farms.
