Emma Ruby is a skilled journalist with extensive experience in various writing and reporting roles. Currently serving as a Staff Writer for the Dallas Observer since April 2024, Emma previously worked as a Reporter and Oak Cliff Editor for Advocate Media - Dallas from November 2022 to April 2024. Emma's background includes a position as an Assistant Media Coordinator for the NCAA during the Men’s Final Four Tournament, where responsibilities included facilitating press conferences and transcribing player interviews. Prior internships at Tulane University Athletics and WVUE-TV Fox 8 involved content production, research, and website management. Emma also held editorial positions at The Maroon and The Dallas Morning News, contributing to breaking news coverage and overseeing news sections. Emma obtained a B.A. in Mass Communication with a focus on Journalism from Loyola University New Orleans.
