Julie Bates has accumulated extensive experience in volunteer services and management over a career spanning more than two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Services at the Dallas Zoo since September 2014, Julie previously held the roles of Manager of Literacy & Volunteer Services and Purchasing Agent at John Wood Community College from January 2008 to August 2014. Additionally, Julie was the Manager of Fuel Operations at Hutter Oil Company from August 2001 to January 2008. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) from Western Illinois University.
