Komal Kaur serves as the President of Umeed-Hope since September 2022, leading the mental health division and focusing on peer support, program development, and enhancing access to culturally competent mental health resources. In addition, Komal Kaur has been appointed as a Co-Instructor at Franklin College, set to teach "Sikhi 101" starting January 2025, and holds a position as a Board Member at Patchwork Indy, where efforts are made to support the Sikh community, particularly newcomers and refugees. Komal Kaur also works as a Home/Community-Based Caseworker at Damar Services, Inc., providing advocacy and support for individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges. Previously, Komal Kaur operated as a Special Education Teacher at Franklin Township Community School Corporation from January to July 2023. Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work with a focus on Mental Health and Addiction at Indiana University Indianapolis, Komal Kaur combines educational and professional expertise to serve diverse communities effectively.
