Dan Beard Council, BSA
Evan Bowman currently serves as the Business Operation Manager for the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America, where responsibilities include managing purchasing, cash handling, financial reporting, and overseeing seasonal staff onboarding and large-scale event registrations. Prior experience includes roles as a Camping Assistant/Business Manager at the same organization, where event registrations and camp-related communications were managed, and as a Kanga Klimb Aerial Guide Lead at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, overseeing safety and training for new guides. Additional experience encompasses internship work at the Miami University Outdoor Pursuit Center and logistics support at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve. Evan holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Capital Management and Leadership from Miami University.
Dan Beard Council, BSA
The mission of the Dan Beard Council is to prepare the over 30,000 young people in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Dan Beard Council is the administrative body of the the Boy Scouts of America in the Greater Cincinnati area. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the council operations are completed funded by the Friends of Scouting annual giving campaign, corporate sponsorships, the popcorn sale, activity revenue, and the United Way. Funding is used for program delivery in the form of camp operations, the Scout Achievement Center, professional and support staff, and the many Scouting events held throughout the council each year.
