Christopher Barnes

Christopher Barnes is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in educational leadership and student support services. Currently serving as a Graduate Project Assistant for Student Diversity Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since June 2015, Christopher coordinates the Ed-GRS Fellowship program and oversees counseling psychology courses for first-year scholars. Additional roles include Peacemaker for Dane County's Community Restorative Court, where Christopher supports young adults in misdemeanor law violations. Previous experience encompasses positions such as Residence Hall Director at Texas State University, where Christopher managed diverse living communities, and Graduate Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, coordinating leadership programs and mentoring students. Christopher holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis, along with a master's degree in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Communication from Western Illinois University.
