Andrea Scamarda has extensive work experience in the field of project management and engineering in the steel meltshop industry. Starting in 1998, Andrea worked as a Paramedic for the Italian Army's 7th Alpini (Mountain Troops) until September 1999. From October 1999 to December 2003, Andrea worked as a Process Engineer at Lucchini Spa in the Steel Meltshop division. In January 2004, Andrea joined Danieli as a Project Manager for Steel Meltshop Plants, a role held until April 2009. From May 2009 to June 2011, Andrea served as the Group Leader Project Manager for Steel Meltshop Plants at Danieli Co., Ltd.. In July 2011, Andrea was promoted to Director, Projects and Engineering for Steel Meltshop Plants at Danieli Co., Ltd., a position held until June 2014. In July 2014, Andrea joined Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. as a Project Director.
Andrea Scamarda earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universita' Degli Studi di Pisa Facolta' di Ingegneria, specializing in Chemical and Materials Engineering, from 1992 to 1998. In 2008 to 2009, they obtained a Diploma in Corso di Alta formazione in Gestione Aziendale e Sviluppo Organizzativo from the MIB Trieste School of Management. Additionally, they completed various specialized courses including a Course on electric arc furnaces from the Assiociazione Italiana di Metallurgia in Milan in 2001, a Course on refractory materials for steelmaking from CoESi in Milan in the same year, and a Course on continuous casting of steel from the Centro Sviluppo Materiali in Rome in 2000.
