Waqar Ahmad

Waqar Ahmad serves as the Fashion Director at Daraz since October 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing the fashion vertical and driving sustainable growth through brand acquisition and assortment expansion, leading a team managing over 350 active sellers, and successfully on-boarding top-tier brands. Prior to this, Waqar held the position of Category Head at Team A Ventures Pvt Ltd., managing major portfolios in menswear, womenswear, and beauty, where strategic initiatives increased business share significantly. Earlier experience includes roles as Chief Operations Officer at NTV Ventures, Deputy General Manager at Cross Stitch, Head of Product and Operations at Sana Safinaz, Buying Specialist at METRO Cash & Carry Pakistan, and Brand Manager at Republic by Omer. Waqar possesses a BA Hons. in Fashion Marketing and Merchandising from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design and Hogskolan i Boras.
