Kristen J. serves as the Deputy Director of the Biological Technologies Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since March 2021, following a tenure as a Program Manager at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence from May 2020 to March 2021. Prior to that role, Kristen consulted on WMD and biotechnology programs for government clients through MBO Partners and Manta Solutions LLC from August 2019 to May 2020. Kristen's earlier experience includes directing research development at the University of Virginia, managing extramural research programs at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and providing technical expertise at Booz Allen Hamilton. Kristen began a career in intelligence at the National Security Agency, followed by roles in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. Kristen holds a PhD in Toxicology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and has completed postdoctoral research in Chemical Risk Assessment at the University of Florida.
