Marvin Jerry Burns, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Students at Dartmouth College, where responsibilities include supporting the management of academic programs and services aimed at enhancing student success and retention through predictive analytics. Prior to this role, Marvin held various positions at the University of Missouri, including Director of Diversity and Outreach Initiatives, where efforts focused on increasing underrepresented minority enrollment in STEM fields and coordinating retention programs for students of color. As the inaugural Director of the Vasey Academy, Marvin developed programs to encourage underrepresented minorities to pursue business majors, while also managing recruitment and training for the Student Ambassadors Program. Marvin's earlier experience includes roles in academic advising and student recruitment, complemented by a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Colorado State University and several degrees from the University of Missouri and Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
