Darwish Trading Company, (DTC) was founded in the year 1934 by the Late founder Kassem Darwish Fakhro and the company have been in existence for the last 80 years. DTC is the core company of Kassem Darwish Fakhro & Sons, (The Darwish Group) and one of Qatar's leading group of companies, which has been contributing and fuelling the nation's progress in accordance with National Vision of 2030.

For nearly 80 years the Group has associated itself with diversified trading activities covering almost all sectors of the economy such as: Petroleum, Contracting, General Trading, Electromechnical, Automobile distribution, Timber & Joinery, GRC & GRP products,Aluminum Powder coating and others.

The Company represents more than 70 international principals who are manufacturers of high end products in their respective areas.The company’s area of operation has been diversified in to the following divisions such as Building Materials, Construction Equipment, Electrical Systems & Trading, Lighting Systems & Trading, Air Conditioning Ventilation and Refrigeration, Communication and Security Systems, Office Equipment & Solutions, Office Furniture & Solutions, Domestic Appliances, Medical & Scientific systems, Special Projects (Industrial kitchen & Laundry equipments), Tyres & Batteries, Logistics & Transportation.

Ownership and Management of the Group is vested with the Board of Partners, represented by Mr. Hasan J Darwish being the Chairman/Authorized Partner and Mr. Nasser K. Darwish as Vice Chairman/Executive Director. The Darwish Group is now considered as a household name in Qatar with its diversified activities. The Group also has for a long time a well established, strong and a significant presence in the UAE.
