John Furness

John Furness is a seasoned design professional with over two decades of experience in product design and UX/UI. Currently serving as Staff UX Designer and Design System Lead at Dash Social, John leads design team advisory efforts, oversees system development and implementation, and collaborates closely with technical teams to ensure alignment with UX standards. Previously, at TOOLBX, John held the title of Director of Product Design, where responsibilities included mentoring a cross-functional team and establishing a design culture. Additionally, John has experience as Owner/Operator at Simple Square, co-founding Unleash Surf, and working as a New Media Engineer, blending technical skills with design expertise throughout a diverse career. Academic credentials include studies at Georgian College and Northern Lights College.
