Edward Smith

Edward Smith is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Data I/O since October 2022, Smith also holds a similar position at Aqua Metals, Inc. until October 2024. As Chief Executive Officer and President of SMTC Corporation from February 2017 to October 2024, Smith has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities. Previous roles include Advisory Board Member at ZIVELO (2015-2017) and various senior positions at Avnet Electronics Marketing from September 2004 to April 2016, including President, EM, Americas. Smith's career began at Smtek International as CEO and Board Member from January 2001 to September 2004. Educational qualifications include an Associate's degree in Marketing/Marketing Management from Queensborough Community College and studies at St. John's University from 1980 to 1982.
