Lucas Kelly's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Lucas worked at the World Wildlife Fund as a Data Scientist and previously as a BI Analytics Intern. At Fangraphs, Inc., they served as a Contributing Writer. Lucas also worked at Data Society as a Data Science Instructor. Prior to these positions, Lucas worked as a Science Teacher at Lowell School, where they taught various grades and subjects and developed curricula. Lucas also worked as a Teacher/Researcher at Voyagers' Community School, where they taught middle school subjects and served on the Board of Directors. Additionally, Lucas worked as a Teacher/Naturalist at Echo Hill Outdoor School, where they supervised youth groups, taught outdoor classes, and conducted fieldwork projects.
Lucas Kelly has a diverse education history. In 2010, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2011 to 2014. In 2018, Lucas obtained a certification as a Master Environmental and Outdoor Educator from The Maryland Association of Environmental and Outdoor Education. More recently, in 2020, they completed a Data Science program with a focus on Visualization at the Flatiron School.
