Akhil Gupta is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in leading technology teams and developing innovative products. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Databricks since June 2023, Akhil focuses on building products like vector databases to enhance business growth through advanced technologies. Previously, as CEO and Co-Founder of Rubicon from May 2021 to May 2023, Akhil led strategic initiatives. At Dropbox, where Akhil worked from 2012 to 2020, key roles included General Manager and VP of Enterprise, where responsibility extended over a significant revenue-generating business unit, and Vice President of Engineering, overseeing over 600 engineers. Earlier, Akhil contributed as Principal Engineer/TLM at Google from 2005 to 2012, managing a team responsible for search ads infrastructure. Akhil holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
