Arvind Mani is the VP of Engineering at Databricks, overseeing product areas such as Data Governance with Unity Catalog, Identity & Access Management, and Encryption, as well as compliance and security infrastructure. Prior to Databricks, Arvind served as Engineering Director at Facebook, where responsibilities included building a comprehensive Privacy organization from inception. At LinkedIn, Arvind was a founding engineer in Member Trust & Safety, focusing on redesigning login infrastructures and establishing the Data Security organization. Previous roles included positions at Yahoo Inc., PayPal Inc., Symantec, and McAfee, contributing to significant advancements in security protocols and infrastructure. Arvind holds an M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland.
