Maheswaran Venkatachalam is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Databricks since September 2021, Maheswaran is focused on the Databricks ML Platform. Prior to this, Maheswaran held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at LinkedIn, leading teams in the Machine Learning Infrastructure group and facilitating the productionization of ML models for over 600 AI engineers. At Zenefits, from January 2014 to September 2017, Maheswaran was a Staff Engineer/Engineering Manager, contributing to the development of products for the health insurance brokerage business during a period of hypergrowth. Additionally, Maheswaran worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle from June 2010 to January 2014, contributing to the Oracle In-memory Database Option. Maheswaran holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
