VP Of Engineering at Databricks

Sam Shah has a diverse work experience, starting as the Co-Creator of Apache DataFu at The Apache Software Foundation in 2011. Sam went on to work at LinkedIn as the Director of Engineering, overseeing consumer data products. Later, they co-founded SkipFlag, which was acquired by Workday, where they took on roles as CTO, GM of Applied Data, and Investor & Advisor at Independent. In 2020, they volunteered for the State of California, lending their skills to help manage the COVID-19 epidemic. Currently, they are the VP of Engineering at Databricks.

From 2005 to 2009, Sam Shah attended the University of Michigan where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
