Ted Tomlinson is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering - Workspace at Databricks since 2019, where management of the workspace team focuses on a collaborative notebooks product and interactive data science services. Prior to this, Ted held various roles at LinkedIn from 2014 to 2019, including Senior Software Engineering Manager, responsible for a team of over 60 engineers, and contributed significantly to enhancing data acquisition processes. Ted co-founded StackLead and served as a Senior Software Engineer before its acquisition by LinkedIn. Further experience includes roles at Index Inc., Google, and internships at Telefonica I+D and Susquehanna International Group. Ted holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, along with Economics, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
