Matthew Hill

Matthew Hill is a seasoned professional in artificial intelligence and engineering, currently serving as Sr. Director of AI Engineering at Dataminr since June 2020, where efforts are focused on developing an AI/MLOps platform for real-time event detection from streaming data using deep learning. Prior to Dataminr, Matthew spent over 21 years at IBM, progressing to Senior Technical Staff Member, where notable accomplishments included transforming Watson Visual Recognition into a scalable product for the IBM Cloud, allowing users without machine learning expertise to create effective AI models. Earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Cognex Corporation, specializing in machine vision software. Matthew holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cornell University.
