Beadsie is a director with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, a private philanthropy based in Baltimore whose mission is to develop a brighter future for children, families, and communities in the United States. She is also involved as a member and former board chair of the Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy organization. An economics major at Davidson, she has a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard's Kennedy School and a Ph.D. in economics from UNC-Chapel Hill. As a Davidson student, Beadsie served as the first woman president of the Student Government Association. A Luce Scholar and North Carolina Fellow, she was a member of Who's Who, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership and service fraternity, and Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society. She has served Davidson as a Davidson Alumni Admission Program representative, an Alumni Association Board decade representative, tri-chair of Alumni of Color Engagement, an Annual Fund class agent, a member of her 20th reunion committee and the Alumnae Coeducation reunion committee, and member of the Board of Visitors. She is a member of the Campus Strategy, Planning and Use Committee, Public Affairs Committee, and the Student Recruiting, Enrollment, and Scholarships Committee.
