Jared Simpson

Scientific Advisor at Day Zero Diagnostics

Jared Simpson, PhD with the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, develops algorithms and software for the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data. He works primarily on de novo genome assembly, the detection of somatic mutations in cancer and, most recently, the development of algorithms for nanopore-based sequencers. Jared and his research group have developed the ABYSS, SGA and nanopolish software packages.
