Stephen is a Principal at Sands Capital, a venture capital firm associated with Sands Capital Management. At Sands Capital, Stephen leads private life sciences investments in therapeutic, diagnostic, and life sciences businesses. Prior to joining Sands Capital, Stephen received his PhD in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Stephen served as Director of Business Development and Research Analytics at Agilis Biotherapeutics, a gene therapy company focused on rare neurological diseases. He is also a Kauffman Fellow.
