Sophie Benson is a freelance journalist specializing in sustainable fashion, consumerism, worker's rights, and environmental issues since January 2014. Currently serving as a sustainability columnist for DAZED Magazine and a sustainability writer for WGSN, Sophie has an extensive background in researching and analyzing the interplay between sustainability and various sectors, including beauty and consumer technology. Previous experience includes working as a freelance stylist for independent brands and holding roles as an associate lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University and a specialist lecturer at Birmingham City University. Additionally, Sophie was the editor and fashion director of FAKE Magazine, a platform promoting independent creatives. Sophie holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Design with a specialism in Fashion Communication from Birmingham City University.
