Mike Chao

Mike Chao is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in technology and market strategy. As a Founding Partner at GeoFusion LLC since January 2019, Mike specializes in assisting technology companies with market entry through a combination of strategy and execution. Mike serves on the China Advisory Board for d&b audiotechnik and previously held the role of Regional Vice President for Asia-Pacific at Dolby Laboratories from February 2012 to March 2017, where Mike generated $400M in revenue and led a team of 100 employees across several key markets. As Managing Director for Greater China, Mike successfully tripled domestic business growth. Prior to Dolby, Mike worked at The Boston Consulting Group as Principal for Greater China, focusing on growth strategies for technology clients, and held various senior roles at Microsoft from 1998 to 2008, including Director of Anti-piracy for Greater China. Mike holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a BS in Engineering from Cornell University.
