Joel Chao

Joel Chao is an experienced engineering manager and machine learning expert with a strong background in data-driven solutions and team leadership. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Dcard, Joel leads a cross-functional team in leveraging data for impactful delivery. Previous roles include Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Dcard, Senior NLP Engineer at Baidu, Inc., and Machine Learning Scientist at Appier, where Joel focused on recommendation systems, algorithm development, and deep learning projects. Joel Chao holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from National Taiwan University.
