Matthias Doornaert

Matthias Doornaert currently serves as Co-Head of Legal and Director of M&A and Corporate Development at Cronos Groep since March 2017, focusing on M&A, corporate finance, and business development, with a keen interest in legal tech. Prior experience includes senior associate positions at Laga Law Firm and Baker McKenzie, as well as an associate role at Linklaters. Matthias Doornaert began a legal career with a summer internship at Allen & Overy in 2007 and also interned at the Embassy of Belgium. Academically, Matthias Doornaert holds a Master in Law and a Master in Tax Law from KU Leuven, complemented by postgraduate studies in Corporate Finance from the same institution and other international programs at the University of Illinois and the University of Oxford.
