Etienne Borg Cardona

Etienne is a certified public accountant and auditor by profession and holds a practicing warrant. Following experience in banking and audit practice, he has had a highly successful thirty-year career in leadership positions in the private sector. Etienne is presently the founding partner of Capital Advisory Limited, an independent consulting firm, and advises on corporate finance, financial management and reporting and corporate governance. He currently sits as an independent non-executive director on boards of listed, regulated and private local and international companies in a number of industry sectors. He is an elected council member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a member of the Malta Chamber of Commerce Family Business Committee. A Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and the Malta Institute of Accountants, he holds a Masters’ degree in Financial Services from the University of Malta and is currently reading a PhD in Leadership and Management at Cranfield University UK. Etienne lectures financial management at the University of Malta within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy.
