Simon Duraffourg

Simon Duraffourg is an experienced professional in digital human modeling and simulation, currently serving as the Digital Human Modeling Leader at Decathlon France since September 2017. Simon has led efforts in human morphology data processing, avatar development, size recommendation tools, and the integration of digital simulation models into design workflows. Prior to this, Simon held positions including Project Manager for digital simulation tools and a Biomechanics Researcher specializing in finite element analysis (FEA). Additional experience includes roles as an R&D mechanical engineer at Ec2 Modelisation and a PhD research engineer at Renault, where Simon focused on the optimization of car structure durability predictions. Educational qualifications include a PhD from Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
