John Knag has a long and varied work experience. John began their professional career in 2000 as a Singer, Songwriter, and Pianist for The Stereo Set. In 2004, they worked as a Web Developer at GC Infotech, where they developed automated securities trading software, web scraping, and database development. In 2006, they joined Sikorsky Aircraft as an Engineer where they conducted Handling Qualities analysis and Control System design for the X2 Technology Demonstrator aircraft. In 2013, they worked as a Program Manager and Systems Engineer for Laufer Wind, where they were responsible for program management, requirements definition, system modeling, interface specification, validation and verification testing, and design reviews. In 2018, they worked as a Technology Development Manager for BAE Systems, Inc. and as President and Founder of Huginn & Muninn LLC. Currently, they are the Vice President of Product for Dedrone.

John Knag attended Stanford University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. John returned to Stanford University from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.
