Brad S. Roan

Brad S. Roan, PE, is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently serving as the Founder in Residence at Deep Science Ventures, Brad focuses on engineering agriculture for hostile environments, addressing critical issues of desertification and climate change. Previous positions include Lead Mechanical Engineer at OnePointOne, where contributions involved the design and development of robotic systems for aeroponic systems, and Mechanical Design Engineer for ICON Aircraft, specializing in components for light sport aircraft. As CEO/Chief Engineer of Roan Technologies Inc., Brad developed a digital dice rolling toy, while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor at California State University-Sacramento. Additional experience includes tenure at Ekso Bionics, UTC Aerospace Systems, and Sandvik Thermal Process Inc., complemented by a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Pacific.
