Jose Acain

Jose Acain is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in technology leadership and development. Currently serving as Head of Engineering at Deep Sky since February 2025, Acain previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at AstroForge from January 2022 to January 2025. Earlier roles include Director of Engineering at Ex Scientia Technologies, Staff Software Engineer, and Vehicle Software Engineer at Bird, and various engineering positions at Space Exploration Technologies, Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche, Volkswagen Group of America, and NASA Ames Research Center. Acain's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, both from Santa Clara University.
