William Laws CEng MIMechE is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in naval engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at DEEP since January 2022, William previously held roles as a Senior Naval Engineer and Naval Engineer at BMT from July 2013 to April 2021, focusing on power and propulsion systems for surface ships. William's diverse experience includes a three-month volunteer sabbatical as a Mechanic Fitter with Mercy Ships in Madagascar, as well as working as a Snowmobile Technician at Whistler Blackcomb in 2012, where responsibilities included maintenance of a fleet of snowmobiles. William earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University and completed A-Levels in Physics, Maths, and Geology at Wells Cathedral School.
