Martin Jonsson has extensive experience in executive leadership roles within the automotive industry. Martin started their career with Kongsberg Automotive, where they held various positions including Senior Manager Programs & Sales in North America, Plant Manager, Production Manager, and Corporate Management Trainee. During their time at Kongsberg Automotive, they successfully established the business of Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in the North American Heavy Duty Truck Market and implemented lean value streams and continuous improvement initiatives. In 2018, Jonsson joined DEFA as the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, where they strengthened and restructured the team and focused on organizational set-up, sourcing process, category management, and PPV execution. In 2019, they became the Executive Vice President of Auto & Industry, and in 2021 they assumed the role of Executive Vice President of eMobility, responsible for leading the business unit focused on EV-charging solutions.
Martin Jonsson attended Volvo Upper Secondary School from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Gymnasium degree in Science and Industrial Technology. From 2003 to 2008, they studied at Chalmers University of Technology, earning a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management. In 2014, Martin enrolled at BI Norwegian Business School and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Management in 2015.
