Alisa A. has work experience as a Support Engineer at Defence Research and Development Canada since February 2017. Alisa was later promoted to the role of Head of Science Engineering Support Group in September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Process/Production Engineer at Sherritt International Corporation from January 2013 to January 2017.

Alisa A. began their education in 2005 at the University of Alberta, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biomedical Option (Co-op), completing it in 2010. During this time, they gained practical experience through their co-op program. In 2008-2009, Alisa also attended the University of Bremen, where they focused on Process Engineering Research. Later, they continued their academic journey at the University of Alberta, achieving a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Neuroscience from 2010 to 2012.
