Shima Rashidi

Shima Rashidi is a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Definely since May 2024, managing a team of ML engineers and overseeing the development of flagship AI products utilizing Generative AI solutions. Previously, as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Shima led the implementation of Generative AI solutions and developed MLOps infrastructure for a startup. At AGL, Shima held the role of Senior Data Scientist, leading a team in creating end-to-end data science solutions and deploying Gen-AI proofs of concept. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Scientist and Researcher at RMIT University, focusing on image dataset analysis for Ford Company, and as a Machine Learning Engineer at KeyLead Health, contributing to healthcare data value extraction. Shima began a career in academia as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Melbourne, supporting Machine Learning and AI courses while completing a PhD in Computing and Information Systems and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
