Derek Collins

Derek Collins is an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in digital workspace projects, application migrations, and cloud transformations. Currently working at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since May 2020, Derek leads the Data Centre Exit Project, overseeing the migration of legacy applications to cloud platforms like Azure and AWS, and managing third-party suppliers. Previous roles include senior project management positions at Aviva, ICBC Standard Bank Plc, Shell, WPP, Balfour Beatty plc, and British American Tobacco, focusing on large-scale migrations and upgrades, particularly to Windows 10 and cloud solutions. Derek holds a degree in Business Computing from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, completed in 2004.
