Jack Jones

Jack Jones currently serves as the Head of R&D Management and Assurance and Futures Artificial Intelligence Research Lead at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jack held various positions within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, including Private Secretary to the Director General of the Energy Supply Taskforce and the Vaccine Taskforce, as well as serving as a Hydrogen Heating Policy Adviser. Earlier experience includes a role at the Met Office as Science & Technology Stakeholder Strategic Insights Officer and strategic planning coordination at Dstl. Jack's academic background features a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia, with research projects at the Quadram Institute and the Biochemical Society, as well as leadership in various student organizations.
