Katherine Smith McIpr

Katherine Smith, MCIPR, is an experienced strategy analyst currently employed at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since January 2018, where responsibilities include refining the Digital, Data and Technology Services strategy and improving strategic planning capabilities. Previously, Katherine served as Head of Strategic Communications - International at the Prime Minister's Office & Cabinet Office Communications, focusing on enhancing strategic communications for international projects. With a solid background in marketing and communications, Katherine held leadership roles at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, including National Campaign Lead for Modern Workplace initiatives and Deputy Head of Stakeholder Engagement, where notable achievements include the creation of Tomorrow's Engineers Week. Early career highlights include agency work with Empress and a successful marketing campaign for Recycle for London. Katherine holds an MA in History of Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art and a BA in English and History from the University of Southampton.
