Tom Parrott

Tom Parrott is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as Team Leader for Residual Waste and Infrastructure and Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since May 2019. Parrott has led initiatives to develop policies addressing illegal activities in waste management and oversaw Defra's Covid-19 response for the sector. Previous roles include Senior Environmental Consultant at AECOM, where project management focused on significant urban regeneration projects in London, and additional ecological and sustainability positions early in the career. Tom Parrott holds an MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment and a BSc (Hons) in Geography from the University of Southampton, along with A Levels in Geography, Environmental Science, and History.
