Evan Ogden is a Control Systems Engineer at DEKA Research & Development since May 2019, focusing on the development and maintenance of control systems for medical and robotic innovations, while adhering to FDA design practices. Prior to this, Evan conducted graduate research at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2014 to July 2018, specializing in modeling and control methods for shoulder robotic exoskeletons, including design, programming, and pilot studies. Earlier experience includes multiple summer internships as a Student Engineer at Southwest Research Institute from May 2011 to August 2014, where responsibilities included mechanical design and finite element analysis for electromechanical systems. Evan holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, completed in 2018.
