Alejandro Cortazar possesses extensive experience in the field of education, primarily focusing on special education and behavioral support. Currently serving in the Del Valle Independent School District since August 2016, Alejandro holds multiple roles, including Special Education Specialist, District Behavior Specialist, and Social Studies Inclusion Teacher. Previously, Alejandro worked at IDEA Public Schools as an Interventionist Specialist and at Boston Public Schools in various capacities, including Emotional and Social Development Teacher, Student Teacher, and SEI Bilingual Paraeducator. Alejandro earned a Master's of Science in Special Education with a focus on Moderate Disabilities from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University.
