Mario Lopez

Mario Lopez is an experienced professional with a strong background in dairy science and technical development within the industry. Currently serving as a Technical Development Manager at DeLaval since February 2007, Mario advocates for the dairy industry and engages in cross-portfolio initiatives, technical product support, and innovation scouting. Previous roles include Technical Service and Technical Tools Development Manager, and Manager of Technical Service and Clinical Trials, where Mario managed clinical trials and product development while overseeing training for sales staff. Prior experience with DairyNZ as a Scientist and PostDoc focused on mastitis ecology and management practices, leading several significant research projects. Mario holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and a PGDipApplSc in Animal Science from Lincoln University, alongside a degree in Animal Science from Universidad de La Salle.
