Earlier in their career, Kyung-hyun Kang worked at Hyundai Motor Company in various roles, including Technology Investment Lead in the Corporate Venture Investment division. In this role, they led strategic investments in areas such as AI, computer vision, autonomous driving, and cybersecurity. Kyung-hyun also executed LP investments to secure accessibility on the Israel venture ecosystem and published insight reports on AI investment. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Engineer in Vehicle UX Research & Development and as a Research Engineer in Vehicle Electronics Development & Planning.
Kyung-hyun Kang completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Sungkyunkwan University from 1997 to 2004. From 2005 to 2007, Kyung-hyun pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Wireless Communication at the University of Florida. Later, in 2010, Kyung-hyun attended the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business for an MBA degree with a focus on the Management of Technology, which was completed in 2011. Additionally, Kyung-hyun obtained several certifications, including a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in February 2018, completion of the Korea Advanced Venture Capitalist Academy (KAVA) at KVIC in October 2013, and a CFA Level 2 Candidate status from the CFA Institute in June 2012.
